The Ethics Team
Darlene Vargas, Ethics Advisor, has worked previously at the Art Institute of Chicago, in the museum’s education department where she led tours and helped develop educational resources. Vargas was also an Assistant Program Coordinator for the Office of Academic Multicultural Initiatives. A proud LAUSD graduate, Vargas received her B.A. in the History of Art from the University of Michigan where she spent her free time as a reading tutor.
Current Interns
Jamal Haskin,
Ethics Intern, is an alumnus from California State University, Northridge with a B.S. in Computer Science. Through school and outside projects, Jamal has acquired experience programming in C, C#, Java, JavaScript, HTML, XML, PHP and MySQL. His skills are being applied to the Ethics Office's website and other web-based applications (i.e. Electronic Lobbying Filing System and the Form 700 management system). He also took part in developing a mobile version of the Ethics website and "Ethics University", a new online ethics training module accessible to anyone.
